Francis Birketts is a 'one-stop
shop' precision engineering company. The company specialises in the casting of
Copper based alloys, but also has extensive casting facilities for Aluminium
based alloys. All casting is supported by extensive CNC and conventional
machining facilities, assembly and testing. One of FWB's key technologies is the
manufacture of self lubricating bearings, whether to our customers' own
specification, or to our own superior Franberlube properties.
At the forefront of the
company's strategy is the continued investment in modern casting plant and
machinery. This has given it a unique market position as there is no other
foundry offering such a range of casting processes allied to finishing
capability. The company currently employs circa. 100 people, has ISO 9001:2000
certification and is seeking approval to 14000 and 18000 standards in the near
future.
